ROBERT ZELLER RECEIVES POLLOCK-KRASNER GRANT

The painter Robert Zeller received a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, it was announced by 511 GALLERY today.

The 22-year-old Pollock - Krasner Foundation's mission is "to aid, internationally, those individuals who have worked as artists over a significant period of time. The Foundation's dual criteria for grants are recognizable artistic merit and financial need, whether professional, personal or both." "We are thrilled that this talented young artist was chosen for this prestigious award," said Mara Miller, Director of the gallery.

Zeller received his MFA in 2001 at the New York Academy of Art, his BFA in 1993 from Boston Museum School of Fine Arts / Tufts University in Boston and has studied at Water Street Atelier in New York. Zeller's works have been shown in a number of exhibitions and galleries including the Apex Gallery in Washington and Grey McGear Modern in Santa Monica, CA. His work is also included in The Forbes Collection. The artist lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Zeller's most recent exhibition, The Virgin of the Mall Series, was shown at 511 GALLERY in December 2006.
